Vancouver @ the Sugar Refinery w/Ashtray Boy & the Diskettes 070703   --> Back to the live page <-- After a 12 hour lovely ride thru the rocky mountains we finally got to Vancouver on the canadian westcoast. I've heard a lot of nice things about Vancouver but I was really shocked when I saw the big amount of junkies, homeless people and prostitutes they got here. Never seen anything like it, then again I am from Sweden. I was so tired before this gig cause I had only slept for 3 hours because of the Smog gig in Edmonton the night before. There wasn't a lot of people at this gig..the other bands + maybe 15 more people. To my big surprise this guy John and his girlfriend showed up, I sent him some records like 2 years ago and totally forgot they lived here so that was a really pleasant surprise. The Diskettes och Ashtray boy are 2 good bands, too bad I kinda slept thru their shows. The Diskettes got a new record out on Humblebee this fall, so go and check that one out.
